looking for good simple mame frontend
#364075 - 03/05/17 03:48 AM

hey gents,

Im looking for a simple mame frontend, something that just shows a screen shot, uses the cat ver list, history dat etc.

Don't want anything fancy, don't need it to do special tricks, rotate, sing, etc. just be a simple front end. something along the lines of the old arcade at home version.

Yes im showing my age with the last comment as some have probably never heard of it before

Only here to annoy...

I use IV-Play. Very simple to setup & use. But you're probably going to get over 10 people responding with 10 different opinions of which one is the best

Windows 11 64 bit OS
Intel Core i7-10700
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 6GB
32GB DDR4 RAM

just run latest mame.exe. you'll find out, it has built-in simple frontend. it was called MEWUI before its integration into official MAME.
