Hiscore plugin for mame 183....

Hello,
Could anyone please walk me through how to install the Hiscore plugin or activate Hiscore support in mame183?

I could have sworn that about a half dozen Mames ago, Hiscore was already installed in mame and you just clicked on plugins and turned it on?
All help is appreciated.

In your mame.ini find options
Quote:
plugins 1
plugin hiscore,cheat
Then make sure it's enabled in plugin.ini
Quote:
cheat 1
cheatfind 0
console 1
data 1
dummy 0
hiscore 1
layout 0
timer 0
If you don't have a plugin.ini I think it's created via 'mame64 -cc'

Thanks... maybe this is my problem.
The plugin.ini is blank.
