Led tvs for MAME

I was wondering if newer tvs will run MAME at full speed and without tearing. I am looking for something in the 42 48 inch range. Also with minimal input lag.

Actually when they are back lit with LEDs, they are referred to as LED TVs. But yeah, they are LCD.

And there will be no screen tearing either for scroll games like metal slug? Does it need to be 120 refresh rate to run games full speed like pacman?

Yes I know the difference. Most tvs now have led lights. Actually I have a 65 inch oled lg. I'm just looking for something for my MAME. Thanks

120Hz refresh rate is not necessary and it might hurt the emulation, most games run at 60Hz and 50Hz (59.99Hz and 49.99Hz). You'll be fine with a 60Hz TV.

Just considered about classic games like pacman that run at refresh rate: 60.61 frames per second

I'm not going to use my oled for a MAME cabinet. Looking for something dedicated for MAME only.

Right, you'll need a FreeSync / GSync compliant monitor (depending which video card you have) rather than a TV if perfect scrolling is worthwhile for you.

Ah but that's the issue. They don't make monitors 42 48 inches do they that support those features.

Right, so either accept the tearing or accept Vsync. There are no other options in that regard.

Um we're all talking about being in the context of not having a FreeSync/GSync display. You should learn how to read.
