MAME4DROID is EXTREMLY GOOD but were on Mame 0.182
we need a program so MAME4DROID can be updated each time.
So who's up for the challenge in doing it PLEASE.
I'm sure that if MAME4DROID is updated to Mame 0.182 the people that download it would donate a small amount & once the donations hit the target of paying for the time of making the program or update of MAME4DROID the donations could then be put to buying boards that need dumping etc.
I'll be one that would make a donation for this to happen & i'm pretty sure the Mame community would do the same.
If you also would donate to make this happen please make a post saying you would, so lets see if we can make a record for the most replys to a topic.
THANKS to the person/team that made MAME4DROID in the first place.

Talk about Mame's birthday it will be mine if that happens.
Can they not add a donation link on Google Play etc?
As I would like to make a small donation & i'm sure others would each time theres an update for MAME4droid.

Forget about MAME4DROID. Now we have Retroarch with several MAME cores which work flawlessly on android devices. Some examples:
MAME2014 core is built over MAME 0.159 (which was in fact released in 2015).
MAME2016 core is built over MAME 0.174
And the current nightly build is 0.182 (current MAME version). Thus, this version requires Lollipop or newer O.S. to work.
All these cores are way better than the outdated MAME4DROID, being 0.159 the fastest core.

Yeah downloaded Retroarch opened & wow not a clue on what to do. You need a phd or something to work that out? Can you send me some recent links on how to as only want to play arcade games on it. Please & Thanks

You're grossly underestimating what a good developer's worth. A good developer is worth over US$10,000/month. If you want to start paying people to work on the things you want, you're going to need to come up with serious cash.

I well know it takes a special person with special skills to make such a program to compile Mame for Android. I'm saying that if someone with the skills made such a program i'd like to see a donation link on Google play & others with the Mame4droid so that myself & others could make small donations each time its compiled & updated etc. Small donations can turn into serious cash & with what the developer makes for the program, whats left after it could go against paying for boards that are needed or a job thats to do with the Mame project could go to paying towards. The person that made the Mame4droid apps is well helpful too, as in the early days I didn't know how to set up some settings he sent me an e-mail back & i'm pretty sure he would have had thousands of e-mails too he still gave me some of his valuable time. I know the Mame4droid project is non profit project & not to be sold but a good project like this should be allowed to have a donation link with it. Thanks to all involved in the project but Mame4droid should have a donation link with it as other parts of the Mame project does, e.g money towards boards being bought & dumped. Artwork etc. compiling apps. & theres got to be more parts of the Mame project that has donation links attached to them. With how many thousands of people that have downloaded the FREE Mame4droid app it would help into more preservation too. THANKS
