Thanks for your feedback.
Ok, it should be fixed now!
(I can't test it with a recent version of MameUI because I don't have a computer with a 64-bit Windows OS installed nearby).
Damn, I modified them because someone complained that carriage return characters were doubled in Multiplayer.ini. He assured me that it would not be a problem with MameUI.
The original bug was that the Perl conversion script (from nplayers.ini to Multiplayer.ini) output linebreaks as "0D 0D 0A". This dates from 2004. It was not a problem with MameUI and other parsers so I didn't pay attention to this. The only annoyance was that the file size was 10% bigger.
My previous fix turned the "0D 0D 0A" into "0D" which looked perfect to me in a text file viewer in Linux and Windows. Although it's the default line break character for MacOS and Unix systems, I didn't know MameUI expected the Windows line break sequence which is "0D 0A". Multiplayer.ini file now uses this format. It should be ok now.

I know but I replaced the default notepad.exe with NotepadEx for the handy extra features and it displayed the file properly in that viewer. ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/oops.gif)
The duplicated Device section is fixed. ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif)
Thanks for noticing me.
Don't hesitate if you find something else.
Your feedback is very appreciated.
