This has no chance of happening. The west coast and northeast will each secede from the union. And Texas will stop trying to.

Yeah, good luck with that. I'm sure those states will have no problem defending their secession when the government comes in with troops to preserve the union. Oh wait, the west coast has some of the strictest gun control laws in the US. Oops!

My point isn't whether it will fail or succeed, it's that it will be sought after and trump will never be accepted. Nothing he says will be obeyed. Just look at the santuary cities, they've all already stated they will ignore his orders. Anyway it's just my prediction. And here's another one: innoguration day will have the biggest protests in us history.

If states want to secede, they should have a referendum with the condition that if it passes, they cannot return to the US if they decide to change their minds later (and with a super-majority of people in favor).
