Opti-Pac Not Working In MAME / Win 10

I recently upgraded my arcade machine to Windows 10. This was a completely new installed from a formatted hard drive. It's been a while since I've set MAME up and I'm having problems.
I have two joysticks hooked up and those work fine. My Opti-pac however does not. I should say it doesn't work while playing a game. The configuration is two trackballs and two spinners. Both trackballs and both spinners work fine from within Windows 10 and they also work fine from within the MAME menu as well. However when I select and start a game, say cabal or centipede they don't seem to function.
I have gone into the configuration and set both mouse and dual mouse to On.
What am I missing?

Almost immediately after posting this I remembered how to test it. I went in to cabal and set the mouse option for players 1 and 2. It appears as though MAME sees the trackballs and spinners as mouse 3 and mouse 4 for some reason. I just need to set them in my config file.
Hopefully this will help anyone else who might encounter this.
