Golden Tee Fore! - Not running in Mame .178?

I updated Mame to .178 today and now all of my Golden Tee Fore! sets, excluding the base set, will not run (so 2002-2006 Complete). Each boots up fine and the system status check says OK. Then it switches to a red screen that says:
Software version incompatible with hardware
Key Code #40600
Board Serial Number 00000000-F
Has the romsets or chds changed?

MAME wouldn't even start the machine if you were missing rom(s). Works perfectly fine here (tried sets gtfore01, gtfore02, gtfgore03, gtgore04, gtfore05, gtfore06) Delete any support files (DIFF/NVRAM/CFG) and try again.

This is a very common issue people who use Mame long enough run into, so if you get weird error messages like that, this will be the solution 9 times out of 10.

Also, if you ever try running a game & it crashes MAME, make sure to disable cheats. I've hat that happen a few times after updating MAME. Old cheats stop working & will crash the emulator
