One of my all time favorites! and yes I was running arcades when this game came out.
seems like yesterday but I see no reason to go into details about its age 
|

I had to stand on a stool to play this when it came out. It is one of the all time greats. They still release it on Nesica I think.

Indeed they re-released it on NESiCAxLive in October 2014. But it doesn't look great on the Vewlix's LCD monitor...

I don't know if you all are aware of this but you can unlock and play the old Elevator Action game once you beat Elevator Action Returns on Sega Saturn.

The first day Elevator Action was in the arcade near me, we were let out of school early due to threat of bad weather. I remember leaving school with clear skies, so my best friend and I went to the arcade. Elevator Action was on "free play", since it had just arrived.
We played for hours, and we were basically the only ones in the arcade. About 7 PM, we looked out and found several inches of snow on the ground... in Georgia, USA. Didn't even know it was snowing! Snow is rare here, so everything shuts down.
My friend drove me home, sliding all the way. I was in so much trouble. They knew about the early school closing and had no idea where I was.
