Also when one of the things on my PC updates, it opens a page in IE.
I'm going to guess that the joke was that the image was broken...?

This browser has none of the cookies, bookmarks, site history, ect. that my GOOD browsers have.
Then again, it's been probably 10 years ago since I felt the need to do that. Oh, and there was that one time I looked up someone I have blocked in FB... Then forced myself to watch a beheading video. For the purposes of association... gotta burn them bridges.

Maybe someone here can help, I've used IE solely until I recently installed Chrome. My IE has gotten unbelievably buggy recently and I'd like to only use Chrome....but....the one thing IE has that Chrome doesn't, which I use every single time I'm on IE, is the Favorites/History pane on the left side, with its hundreds of bookmarks I've saved over the years. I've tried to find a similar feature for Chrome but no luck.

I may get this wrong so if I do I am sure someone will correct me ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)
I did this https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95745?hl=en
Then I created a folder out of that menubar with all of my stuff in it.
I think you can also import them. There is a menu item in the 'hamburger' menu in the upper right that you can use to control it. I think it is the same thing that shows up on the menu bar?
That should get you at least close to knowing better what you are looking for. But yeah the minimal look is kinda of annoying if you are used to having a menu/button there that just does it. Takes a bit of getting used to.

Those interleaved tabs suck. You might think 'it's Google, I can customise that'... but fuck no.
Firefox is a little better - but for fuck's sake, they must be like dumb little children or something, cos folders in the bookmarks window have plusses next to them indicating there's shit in 'em. Takes up space, and looks dumb as fuck.
IE is everything and every way I want a browser to be (the slight caveat being that it gimps the favorites bar if you fullscreen youtube and some other video sites - yes I still have my favorites window up full-time; what's weird is if you take one of the tabs out of the cue, or if there aren't others and you create one, and pull either one out, the fave window appears in that one!). If yours is buggy, then you need to dump cookies and temp files and shit. I have that 'empty at browser exit' thing checked, and I don't never have no trouble.
