I'm running MAME 0.175 with Pugsy's 0.174 cheat pack. Loading the arcade game 'Revolution X' through Emuloader, I can enter the table menu, enter the plugin sub-menu, select cheat, and can then see and turn on/off the cheats for the game (e.g., laser discs, have the supergun, etc.)
However, regardless of whether or not the cheats are enabled/ON, they do not activate in game.
If I adjust my MAME ini and set cheat to 1 to enable cheats directly, the cheats do work from the built in menu.
I didn't see this logged on MAMEtesters and was not sure if the plugins were considered still in development. However, if someone else can confirm what I'm seeing, I'd appreciate it.
I would like to leave cheat set to 0 in my mame.ini and us the plugin instead as the built in cheat system will crash MAME when set to 1 for some games due to the volume of data included in some of Pugsy's cheats.
