mame 0175 menu bug?

hi!
my first post...
In the main menu that lists available, unavailable, working... submenues mame crashes reliably under this condition:
click on favorites, must be a non-empty list, immediately after that click on categories. ->crash
this does not happen if I select a submenu other than favorites and then select categories.
can anyone confirm this?

Starting MAME in Favorites menu, even with just one item, then selecting "Category" does cause a crash from emulator/exception. I'll see that it is reported to MameTesters.
