Neo-Geo BIOS and filters...

I like to keep MAME a strictly arcade platform for my own use, so naturally I use the MESS filter, but this creates an inconsistancy with the regular MAME list in that the Neo-Geo BIOS is no longer visible.
Is this a bug or a conscious decision? I know the system comes in both MVS and AES flavours, but surely the BIOS should be visible unless both MAME and MESS filters are used as it is just as much an arcade system as anything else. It is really annoying to see the arcade list not displaying completely like this.
I've tried to enquire about this before but no one answered, can someone please look into this? Or please consider adding in a filter exclusively for BIOS romsets?

I mean by going into the custom filter list and checking the MESS box, which hides all machines relating to home consoles. This is also hiding the Neo Geo BIOS from the arcade list too, and it shouldn't.
