DU: Rush The Proto
#354178 - 05/12/16 06:27 AM

Andy Welburn dumped a boot rom for proto wavenet San Fransico Rush. 2 versions. I don't know if they will do anything in mame as is, maybe boot into the bios and see what they were planning.

Fooled me. For a second when rean reading, "DU: Rush The Proto" on subject line by itself, I was first guessing maybe a prototype game of the rock group Rush had been discovered.

If Journey and the guessed/supposed prototype for Pink Floyd arcade game can be made, the band Rush certainly deserved their own game. Just the fact that drummer Neal Peart did outstanding drumming over the years for the group should definitely put Rush over the top to have an arcade game designed for them.

If anything, if an arcade game were designed to incorporate late rock artist Frank Zappa, I wonder what Frank would want the arcade gameplay to consist of. :-)

Yeah! The Rush game could be based on Hemispheres (specifically the Cygnus X1 suite) or 2112!

Zappa? I'd go with 200 Motels or Yellow Shark. Those would make um... interesting games...

I can envision the difficulty setting being just like Pac Man cab on comedy tv show Taxi.

btw: I never knew about this scene from the tv show Taxi. It had to be from an episode I had never seen before. The dialogue from 2:55 to 3:40 when Louie's character is trying to convince a stock investor to go to genetic research is just a few years before its time. I have to give writers and James Burrows props for actually predicting what the future held. Stocks in AT&T did go down while pharmacy and genetic research such as AmGen did take off starting in early to mid 1990 years. Investors in pharmacy stock did well at the time...as long as they weren't expecting breakthroughs such as cloning model 'Cheryl Tiegs by the dozens' as what the DePalma character predicted.
