Haze did a nice little write up about a few clones system11 (http://blog.system11.org/?cat=2) picked up.
These include an earlier version of 1945K III that has less ships to select from. However, the bigger news and more interesting is an original unprotected Touch and Go from Gealco. This is the first and currently only playable version of this game!
system11 also picked up a different version of Bestri.
See all the details at http://mamedev.emulab.it/haze/2016/04/19/more-clone-news/

That would be something if remaining protected Gaelco games (from Korea/Asian region) were not protected by Dallas mcu chip/device. That would be ideal if that is the case.

We've never seen unprotected versions of World Rally 2, Thunder Hoop 2, or Target Hits at least, even in auctions coming from Korea, so it seems unlikely.

Bummer. The World Rally 2 and Thunder Hoop 2 fan base has to be disappointed. Those were probably the most popular titles so I shouldn't be surprised if those (Korean market region) were also protected.

I still hold out hope there might be a unprotected version of Thunder Hoop Strikes Back kicking around in Korea Somewhere i guess we gotta hope it turns up before the Fat Boy in the North gets it
Apart from that then i suppose we wont ever see those games playable in MAME unless someone figures out a way to dump out the contents of the Dallas MCU
