Great release! Is it possible to look for the .dat files in the /.dats folder as well as the top-level mame folder? This would unclutter the main folder with all those dat files. Thanks!

I could make EL read the historypath entry in the new ui.ini file and look for the .dat files in those folders.
This way, if the file is not in MAME's root folder, EL would open ui.ini and check for the paths in the historypath setting.
Also, I could make EL read the path for extra image categories in ui.ini (marquee, flyer, cabinet, etc...).

Feature implemented.
If ui.ini file is found, EL will read the historypath entry and scan all listed folders for all the .dat files.
You can even have a file in MAME's root folder and another in dats sub-folder...
If ui.ini is not found, EL will search .dat files in MAME's root folder only.
NOTE: if MAME's root folder is not listed in the historypath entry, EL will NOT search for the files there.

This file belongs to the new MAME built-in menu, and it's only for MAME 0.172 and up...
The file is created together with mame.ini (mame -createconfig command).
