Mario freezing

I noticed when I got around level 40 it starts to freeze and slow down. I have HLSL enabled but I always do and never noticed it before. I see the frames drop to sometimes to 99% but never this bad. I just compiled from the GIT about 40 minutes ago. Just was wondering if any one is having the same issues. Oh and it also erased my joystick settings midway through the game. I had to reconfigure my jump button.

Oh I noticed it happened when I tied my old hiscore. I am using the hiscore support now in MAME.

Try it without highscore support and see if it's still doing it. That'll tell us if it's something going on with the script.

Okay, this is a Git build? Try updating and let me know if it's still doing it. I have a theory, but I'd need your help to pin it down.

I doubt many of us are getting to that point in the game. I've passed a hundred grand a couple/few times. I wonder if sta'ing there (HAH) produces the same?
