PS artworks question?

Hi AntonPisa, explain me why your artworks dat it's very different compare with official from
mess.org/artworks ?
Scaninng your set with the last dat from mess.org/artworks :
Missing
·Sets 8/177
·ROMs 1362/9687
·CHDs -/0
·Samples -/0
·Bytes 17mb/551mb

AntoPisa tends to do a lot of PNGCrush/ZipMax runs or similar to shrink things as much as possible, runs things through 7z instead of WinRAR or other compressors, I've even seen TorrentZipped, plus he often adds ZIP comments - this all changes checksums inside AND outside of ZIP files versus other "original" sources.
Also, and this is probably another reason - mess.org/artwork is current with 0.172 and has seen a ton of changes in the last week, ProgettoSnaps is current as of 0.171 still. He should be current with 0.172 later, but not right this second. And yes I think it's something like eight or more artwork sets different since the last time AntoPisa updated his own MESS artwork page at ProgettoSnaps.
Plus IDK if he's still keeping MESS artwork and MAME artwork on separate DATs, but he may not be.
In short, working together to update the mess.org MESS Artwork page has had its ups and downs as we tried to synchronize our workflow. Mostly positive tho, we eventually found a common ground
It would not surprise me that the DAT files have got out of sync.
But I'll give the current mess.org DAT file a check through again. I can at least confirm the mess.org artwork DAT verifies the mess.org artworks.

Took a quick look.
As of AntoPisa's MAME 0.171 MESS artwork files...
Compared to the 177 artwork files on mess.org/artwork as of MAME 0.172:
- AntoPisa's missing 11 files (eight new as of MAME 0.172, three not new as of MAME 0.172)
- of the remaining 166 files, 74 are exactly the same as on mess.org/artwork
- what remains is therefore 92 files.
- 22 of these are the chess games whose artwork I tweaked for MESS 0.165-0.171 compatibility (they otherwise wouldn't work in a clickable fashion)
- 3 more of these are artworks that got updated between 0.171 and 0.172.
This leaves 67 that I'm not really sure why are different.
