Auto ROM artwork import ?

Hi, Just got back into my ROMS. Sorted them out with Rom Center, etc. 
I'm seeing some frontend integration with http://emumovies.com to auto download artwork and other resources on demand. But there's a mass of information out there about this. I found one that was an XBMC plugin ... I don't use XBMC. Another was a frontend that was just overkill as it's for all games / films, etc.
I wonder if there's a way of integrating the more simple frontends into emumovies, http://www.mamedb.com/ or other service ? Even a simple command line util would be useful.

Don't know of anyone doing this yet.
FYI: mamedb.com is extremely outdated these days. I pinged the author a while back, who replied, but said something to the effect of not having time to update.
