Metal Slug 6: how to enable red blood and violent effects
- Enable debug mode, on title screen: 1) insert coin 2) press Start with pressed Service and one of Player 2 buttons 1-3 (A-C) this is quite tricky, normally game not allow too many keys pressed, fast mashing of this 3 keys forks for me with ~1/3 success probability.
- During gameplay press Player buttons 4+5 (D+E) once for Pause and once again for Debug menu. - Navigate to last menu item and select it (A button) - this enables violent mode, stores it in Backup SRAM and reboot the game. see 1st attached screenshot
- as alternative violence can be enabled just for this game run - see 2nd attached screenshot

Very unlikely. The Metal Slug series has a history of having very extensive debug modes in them, so this game having one is not that much of a surprise.

That's a bummer... Samurai Shodown without blood isn't really Samurai Shodown.

Darkstalkers 3 for the PlayStation (US) have a censored on the Blood. GameShark or what ever can unlock the Blood mode. All the Capcom ever did is hidden the blood on the US version. The blood never was taken out.
