Aimtrak Utility

I may go 3 to 15 bootups but eventually I will start my arcade and the Aimtrak buttons no longer work. I go into the the Aimtrak utility and the On Screen column has lost its button assignments. I reprogram the 3 buttons and I am good until it randomly happens again. I never lose my off screen assignments...just the On Screen ones. Any thoughts?? Or better yet, any thoughts how to program the buttons and then make that file read-only or something like that??

Something similar will happen every now and then to my U360 joystick, where it'll reset to analog. Been this way for years. I think it's something with Windows recognizing USB devices on boot, and what order it assigns them numbers.
