So I didn't get anything months ago. Nor for christmas.
Main computer (surfing, some music software stuff), desktop. My budget is about $600. I'm thinking of just going for an I5-based machine, though am open to older ones. In my recent researches, I've found these. Thoughts?

Wasn't none of them above. A used PC with I5 4440, eight gigs of ram, a TB drive, HDMI and Wifi built in....oh, and Win 8.1 (see below)......for $285, shipping included.
And now you have a legitimate opportunity to laugh at my dumb ass.....as I was greedy in re-partitioning, and wiped that 100mb one that allows booting. Took me several days of it not recognizing my USB drive, disallowing me to put 7 on there and replicate my settings (alas, I orginally put 7-32 on, so no easy fucking migration.......but Easy Transfer worked pretty well....), googling and trying to get the Acer recovery CD.....no, I wasn't going to spend at least twenty bucks for one.......and then.....finally.....early, or late, one morning before hitting the rack.....getting it to recognize the USB drive and installing Windows.....
Thing was, my original machine/drive doesn't have that boot partition, so cloning didn't work. Fuckin Acer......but at least I didn't have to put 8.1 on there, fuck.
