No XMAS bezels this year?

I hope that we can go back restoring those scanned bezels next year or anytime soon... things slowed down a lot around here, too bad that I don't have great restoring skills to start making it happen :P
I don't want to criticize the current flood of widescreen bezels, I mean, they are ok, but they are not original artwork and don't give that nostalgic feeling of the original bezel.

Last I heard, the FTP site is still not back up, which is where most of us got our bezel scans. So even if there WERE any left that I had the skill to do, I can't get to 'em.
In the meantime, here is a bezel for Shoot the Bull, if that helps. I did get a clean trace of the control panel and am hoping someone posts a good scan of the marquee at some point.

Hey wait a second!
I was not aware that the ftp site had gone down.
Fortunately I have all of the bezels I uploaded to the site so I could post a couple here or perhaps we need a new hosting site.
Perhaps the bigger problem here is the fact that MrDo!'s web site hasn't seen an update in almost 2 years.
Is it time for someone else to take over the site?

Nope.
Somewhere among the hundreds of posts about custom artwork is a post I made explaining all this.
--- No more FTP on Mameworld's server. I am going to run it from home instead. Comboman has already verified it works. I just have to setup all the users.
--- I still have all files, so no worries.
--- I went back to school this semester to finish my AA degree. Hard to do updates when you' be got full time family, work, and 17 units at college.
--- Semester is over next week. Hopefully we'll see an update before the end of the year. If not, then early next year.
--- Assuming all things go as planned, I should be back to normal soon.

Family and your education is more important. I'm sure all of us understand people have lives outside of this hobby and we can't wait to see some updates when you have some free time. Best of luck with school. I remember I went back a few years ago to finish my BA working full-time and taking on 18 credits one semester.

Interesting question. I don't know if there's an answer, it mostly depends on what Mr. Do wants to do. Previously he expressed some interest in hosting MESS artwork. Until he states what he wants, we'll keep updating mess.org/artwork.

Like others, I volunteered to try to restore some artwork, but Mr. Do isnt quite ready yet. Not sure how much help I'll be, but I can give it a try.
