Upgrading from old version to latest version MameUI64
#347606 - 11/29/15 11:04 AM

I am new here, so I hope I post in the correct section. I apologize if I don't; please move my post if necessary.

Even though my 32 bit version of MameUI (0.119u3) still works fine, I would like to upgrade to the latest 64 bit (0.168) version to be prepared for future releases.

Only... this doesn not seem simple. I have of course read the documentation on Mamedev.org, I have installed the new MameUI (0.168), copied the roms, samples and the artwork and made some more tweaks.

But the user interface of MameUI64 looks quite different from that of the old version. In the old interface I could simply see a list of installed games on which I could double click to launch them.

However, I have real trouble in understanding the new interface. I see quite a lot of games I haven't installed and of the games I do have installed I see only a few.

Who can help me to better setup up the interface of Mame64, so it resembles the one of my Mame32? And perhaps correct other things I'm doing wrong.

Thanks!

Audit your ROMs first. You will likely need many updated ones. Then, click the upper left button to toggle folder view. Click Available. Toggle folder view off.
