Screen curvature no longer works in latest build

Hello. I just noticed that the ability to curve the screen no longer seems to work in the latest build. I've adjusted the hlsl settings and the screen still remains flat. Was this intentional or something accidentally disabled?

Be sure you're installing 0.167 correctly. Replacing just the .exe is not enough.
Best thing to do is install in an empty folder and execute "mame64 -cc" to create a fresh mame.ini that will have all the correct entries in it.
Curving the screen and everything else in sliders works just fine here.

I believe it only works if artwork is turned off.

Sure enough. It only works with the artwork disabled  I hope that's something they will enable again in the future. I use artwork for every game

Take a look into the ./hlsl/ folder, there is a sub-folder ./hlsl/artwork_support/. Copy the containing post.fx and distortion.fx from there into the ./hlsl/ folder and replace the existing files.
The only disadvantage you might notice are the bloom stair-step artifacts when the screen is curved.

I don't have this sub-folder in my HLSL. I re-downloaded both .167 64-bit and 32-bit from mamedev.org and that sub-folder is not included.

You have to download the source code. There you will find the hlsl folder with the subfolder

I didn't say it wasn't any good, precious. I said I couldn't see how it looked like a curved screen.
And butt-wiper drinkers aren't relevant entities in that regard. I don't even fucking drink, but I know good liquor for fuck's sake. I hate pales, but I know a good tasting one.
