Has the actual ROM been released to the public so it can be played on emulators? Or is the only way it can be played is through a browser on it's website?

Just follow the link in the first post. You will have to use Nestopia emulator to get this game to work.

I did follow the link. I only see that you can play in through the browser at the website http://wonderlanddizzy.com/
I don't see a link to the actual ROM.
EDIT: NEVERMIND, I JUST FOUND OUT THAT YOU MUST CLICK THE "CLICK TO PLAY" LINK IN ORDER TO FIND THE LINK TO THE ROM.

Previously made in 1993 but never released, Wonderland Dizzy is an adventure game for the NES.
The game is a slighly altered version of Magicland Dizzy with a few extra rooms, different puzzles and references to Alice in Wonderland.
A drawn map of the game was made public in 2011.
On the 24th October 2015, The Oliver Twins, along with Yolkfolk.com's Andrew Joseph announced the surprise release of Wonderland Dizzy with the help of Łukasz Kur from Świat Dizzy.
A website for this game alone was made public on the same day.
