English: I played around 1978 I made a pic of that I remember. The player moves an arrow. The arrow moves the colored block and put it in the grid. The computer does the same with the other arrow. There was many blocks around the screen. Who completes the grid, wins. Maybe, I am not sure, who moves more blocks in the grid before the time was over, wins. I am not sure was 2 player. The Joystick was 4 ways. Someone remember this game?

On Tribble's unMAMEd site, on the 'before 1990' section page, is this entry Computer R-3 (Universal, 78).
It is not yet emulated....for starters... a pcb has yet to be found and roms/proms dumped from the pcb.
Here are flyers of Universal's game. I have never seen the game before, but it almost matches your descriptions and it could be what you are trying to remember.

If not seeing some arcade game from over 30 years earlier, it is easy to not recall exact details because of passage of time.
One example was someone mistakenly remembering Borderline as a game with player driving a tank when it was actually a jeep. That is how they remember the game when the person last saw Borderline in the arcades nearly 30 years earlier.

No it isn't. It was a color game. One of the first I have seen, maybe the first. You moved an arrow and the computer, too. I remember perfectly this. It is been on my mind for years.

Your drawing and game description appear to be of an early version of BrickShooter that was created as an arcade game over 20 years before the first version of BrickShooter in 1999. http://www.brickshooter.com/ Is it the same kind of gameplay that you remember?

Are you sure it from 1978 not in the 80s?
This probably not it. http://flyers.arcade-museum.com/?db=videodb&id=2413&page=thumbs
There are times I forget what some games look like and mistaken.
Check around over here. I have it set to 1978. http://flyers.arcade-museum.com/?page=ar...rch+the+Archive

What is the point? How do you "complete" the grid? Did you have to put colors in a row or something?

It sounds a bit like Filetto (you move an arrow and put coloured squares onto a grid) which is an Italian game. You don't really describe the game rules tho so we have little to go on.
That (despite looking like shit) was released in 1990 however so a whole decade out.
The problem is you're basically describing a puzzle game, and those didn't really even start to become popular in arcades until much later, you're also describing a colour game yet putting it in a period where real colour games (not overlays) were incredibly uncommon.

Yeah, when I first read this question I thought it was likely that he actually meant 1988 rather then 1978. Color arcade games were extremely rare at that time, and Italy didn't get color TV until 1972.

Was the monitor vertical or horizontal
Could you share more information about the gameplay, did you have to complete the whole board, did you match colours, joystick control, how many buttons, coctail table, upright, 2 players ?

I don't remember if was vertical or not. Maybe it was possible 2 players challenge. Not sure. No colors to match. No buttons, for that I remember. 4 directions joystick. Only colored blocks to move by arrow to complete the grid. The computer does the same. Who complete the board wins or not sure if there was a timer and who putted more blocks wins.
Surely it was an arcade game before 1980. I played when I was kid. Long time ago. I'd like to find. Thanks.

the only game I can think of that really even vaguely fits your updated description is pickin'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_p32tD2qJSU
but that's 83, and not really a grid, and does involve matching (putting the blocks in the right pens)
I'm still struggling to understand the nature of the gameplay on what you describe, if you take it in turns how is one player meant to complete more of the grid than the other?

I am almost sure the image I made is very, very close to the game. It was a challenge, who completes before the grid with the colored blocks.
I am beginning to think this game is lost. Sad.

Try to explain the point (and rules) of the game in Your language because Your English is very poor and we can't understand what do You talking about.
P.S. I personally think that this game is more likely on console rather then on arcade. Console in the box perhaps ?

Were there different amounts of squares for different grids (for different rounds)?
Like, if one player goes first, then the next goes... Depending on the number of squares, given that each player fills in 1 square at a time - then the outcome is all ready determined on who goes first and if there are an odd or even amount of squares.
If each turn allows the player to fill in more than 1 square at a time - then that would be different.
All I've asked about and said are only presumptions. More details on how the game worked, *specifics* would help us to at least understand the game better... It may not help us to find what it is necessarily.

Yup. Abso-fucking likely. Might've been a console in a cab in an arcade or something. I swear, whatever nostaliga I think there's a point of diminishing returns on such impoverished games, especially one that seems so generic.

I think that was on purpose to illustrate.
I remember that ST:TNG episode. Egads, I though those finger things were so ridiculous. But the proles probably though it was cutting fucking edge. Also, I'm abso-sure the cast had loads of 'adult' joking about those things.
