DU: Cave X-Rays

We x-ray'd a Cave CV-1000 board to help figure out how the blitter is connected to the SH3.

Cool. X-raying is the new decapping. Cue posts with questions like "I've noticed there's a bug in the emulation of [game], would X-raying the PCB help?

It's done for the same reason that a doctor X-Rays a person, to get a look at what's below the surface

Some PCBs are multilayered and you can't see all the traces. X-Ray the PCB and then you can.

Read the first post, it tells you exactly what we're looking at in perfect English.

Presumably we're looking at "how the blitter is connected to the SH3", as in where the traces go between the two devices, now visible to the naked eye via X-Ray.

The left half of the image is a normal photograph and the right half is the X-ray with the traces visible.

Note I had nothing to do with this, yet still I am somehow able to deduce this information by reading the text and looking at the picture. What a doofus I am.

Of course for all I know the screenshot could be showing a different section of the PCB but that's not really important is it.

The color part is the left half of the pcb and the x-ray'd part is the right half. Both sides had a couple of chips removed before being photo'd. We are having to remove more chips and making more x-rays to get all the needed info. That is a pic of wip.
