Hello,
I'm using MAME64 0.164 on a Windows 7 Ultimate PC with both XBox 360 and PS4 DualShock Controllers (with DS4Windows). MAME Works great under all circumstances where the expected controller is present. However, if I have MAME configured to use a controller and I start MAME without that controller connected it crashes when I exit and then nulls out the default.cfg file:
Faulting application name: mame64.exe, version: 0.164.0.0, time stamp: 0x00006000 Faulting module name: msvcrt.dll, version: 7.0.7601.17744, time stamp: 0x4eeb033f Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0000000000015a01 Faulting process id: 0x2ea4 Faulting application start time: 0x01d0dca4752af804 Faulting application path: C:\Games\MAME64_164\mame64.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\msvcrt.dll
The same issue occurs no matter which controllers I use.
I don't see any other entries on the board reporting this issue, which I would think would be found pretty quickly, so I assume this is a configuration issue with my system. Is there some configuration entry I can change to prevent this from happening.
Thanks for any guidance! -sphere0boom
