Optipac not recognized under windows xp?
#343028 - 07/27/15 09:10 PM

I got many many years ago an Optipacc. I guess it's the first model.
It has two serial ports on it, and I got from Ultimarc the DB9 to USB plug 'converters'. The idea is to make it works under XP.
But the problem is the optipac is not recognized under Windows XP? :-(

When I plug the Optipac over the first port (labeled 'serial/usb') into an computer USB port , I see Windows is trying to recognize it but it end all the time by the message Windows is installing a new device and... device unknown. Because the Optipac is not provided with any driver, I don't know what to do.
I've read it's supposed to be recognized as a generic 'mouse' device, but I tried on several computers/tried the different jumpers configurations... not luck so far : it looks that this model is not compatible with XP?! :-/ Anyone can confirm?

Any idea how to install this under XP?

Someone at BYOAC might know. Or email Andy with exactly your content there.
