Is there a "best" way to organize music?

I'm gonna try and get my music in order. Is there a definitive naming convention? How about software that organizes? Media Monkey?
Thanks in advance.

I personally order them like this:
Music\Artist Name\[Original Release Year] Album Title\Album goes here
I use the original year and mention any reissue stuff in the title. I also keep Various Artists albums under a separate folder. It's not the best, but it works for me.

The best way is your way.
I use "Artist - Song Title" for single songs, sorted in folders by categories that I made up. For now, entire albums are in their own folders, inside a folder called Albums. Everything, along with photos and movies, is on a separate drive formatted to exFAT so it can be written to from any OS.

Thanks for responses.
>Are we talking albums or loose songs here?
Mostly albums. Some loose songs.
I guess what I should've asked is how I can re-tag the songs easily with a program. I wasn't sure if there was an online database that a program could use to tag everything with album cover image, artist...etc. Maybe something that can analyze the song thoroughly for accuracy. I've did a little Googling but I was hoping someone has used something they could recommend.

i do the same thing for photos and videos. simple chronological folders.
every single program i've seen people use to organize media ends up crashing with spectacularly shitty results. they almost always get put back to square one.
