progetto-SNAPS: Starting a new project... VideoSnaps!!!

Start a new major project within the resources available on my website about the MAME.
With this new category I will try to fill a void: the video snaps!
The first step will cover only the arcade games with perfect working parent (2,960 sets) while the second will include all games Working (currently 9,785 sets).
The project is just beginning, but already you can begin to assess our work.
I say "our" because this time I did not realize it all alone but rather in collaboration with motoschifo (of www.arcadeitalia.net), who made some modifications to the source in order to achieve the video in a faster way and that takes care of the longer and more complicated encoding of all video (a great job!).
On my site you will find (in packets and individually) only mp4 versions; in the near future on arcade-italia there will also be versions mp3 and avi, useful for those who use the old front-ends.
The project will then be extended to the MESS (NES, GameBoy, Intellivision, PlayStation, etc.).
The job is being daily processing, so already with the output of the MAME 0.163 we will have many mp4 to add.
All files, as usual, be downloaded in a completely free, are completely new (no files from other websites or available online).
All videos are the native resolution, encoded with high quality audio and colors (perfectly corresponding to the original).

This new project is awesome. I particularly like the "all videos with native game resolution" part.
My frontend already have a video preview playback feature, but it uses an external video player (preferable MPC Home Cinenma). It works pretty well. This way EL can support any video and audio format 
Integrated video playback gives all sorts of bugs and problems.

Very nice project. There's already support for videos in MAMEUIFX, simply put a movie into the \VIDEO\ subfolder, select the correspondent game and click "Play video" from the Toolbar. Though at the moment it searches for gamename.AVI files... I believe I have to change it in .MP4... isn't it ?

Mp4 it's better format and it's emumovies default format what I can see form their website.
Project is great. I'm looking for some light videos for my new Arcade PC configuration.
Just small suggestion - Video for 1944 has long part with intro. I'll rather short it and record more actual play rather than other stuff.

Thanks for your appreciation; this is what we call "Step 1" and for the moment it is not foreseen the renovation of any videos.
In the second phase some files will be redone (also thanks to the suggestions of you conscious user).
Meanwhile in my "WIP" folder there are another 350 videos... maybe with the release of 0.163 will have 1,000 mp4!
