Flyer Fever Update
#341093 - 06/05/15 12:35 AM

New flyers
Car Jamboree - Omori Electric Co. (1983)
Color Combat - Combat Shouji K.K. (1979)
Data East Video Games Catalog - Data East (1978)
Gingateikoku no Gyakushuu - Irem (1980) [aka Uniwar S]
The Goku - Sigma Enterprises (1980)
Lemans / Breakout - Atari (1976) [licensed to Namco]
Man TT - Sega (1976)
Mermaid - Sanritsu Denki (1982) [licensed to Rock-Ola?]
Otasukeman - Om Company, Ltd. (1980)
Space Fever - Nintendo (1979)

June 2015 Update

Upgraded flyers
Galaxy Force - Sega (1988)
Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun - Technos Japan (1986) [licensed to Taito]
Screens of Fame and Fortune - Midway Mfg. (1978-1981)

The search engine on my site is much improved now. It's not Google by any means but it's much more forgiving than before.

Enjoy!

I can't find these games in MAME:

Color Combat - Combat Shouji K.K. (1979)

The Goku - Sigma Enterprises (1980)

Otasukeman - Om Company, Ltd. (1980)

My guess is that they aren't supported in MAME? I just want to be sure.

It says:
"Video game flyers from around the world"

Not:
"MAMEd Game Flyers"

Just hassling ya...

Pessimist: Oh, this can't get any worse!
Optimist: Yes, it can!

Flyer Fever is and has always been a great partner in discovering information regarding undumped, unemulated arcade games.

Due to this, we have created the following pages at the Undumped wiki tonight:
http://mamedev.emulab.it/undumped/index.php?title=Color_Combat
http://mamedev.emulab.it/undumped/index.php?title=Otasukeman
http://mamedev.emulab.it/undumped/index.php?title=The_Goku

Furthermore, some of these Data East games had been in doubt until Flyer Fever acquired the flyer.

Anyway: big update!

Agreed. Usually he finds the flyers first, but there have been a couple occasions where MAME had a specific game emulated first before a flyer was found.

And also FF's other work is of finding flyers for some of us 'old'ster's that were going nuts just trying to remember the name of some games made during 1970s and with irony mine were marketed by Nintendo before video games were marketed here in N. American market. (Wild Gunman and Sky Hawk film reel games). This was a few years before Nintendo became a familiar household name here in N. America region.

That Data East catalog is a great find imo.

Another good update...actually a very good update imo this time around.

Too bad of no real decent game image screen shots for viewing with these flyers.

-
Color Combat - Combat Shouji K.K. (1979)
Otasukeman - Om Company, Ltd. (1980)
The Goku - Sigma Enterprises (1980)
-

Good old 1970s era flyers.

-
Lemans / Breakout - Atari (1976) [licensed to Namco]
Man TT - Sega (1976)
-

This is the most impressive find imo. It provides an early glimpse of initial beginings
of Data East in the arcade video game era...probably before they were making their own games.

Data East Video Games Catalog - Data East (1978)

I'm glad I can help out with the flyers I acquire.

My friend and translator surfaced the following video games from the Data East catalog.

  • Super Break
  • Super Break II
  • Balloon (regular, mini and 'Circus' editions)
  • 2in1 R-D (Robot Bowl / Depth Charge)
  • 2in1 S-B (Super Break II / Balloon Circus)
  • 2in1 S-G (Super Break II / Gypsy Juggler)

About the Lode Runner: Teikoku Karano Dasshutsu flyer. new [Re: Dan@Flyer Fever]

Lode Runner IV: Teikoku Karano Dasshutsu seem wrong name on MAME. Should it be Lode Runner: Teikoku Karano Dasshutsu instead? This is confusing.

How come only Galaxy Force II has been dumped and not the first one? "ShouTime's got one."

I tried finding video of the first Galaxy Force, but it's confusing. My understanding is that they are the same game, but the only difference is the cabinet. Is that true?

Coler Combat instead of Color Combat?
