> Mr. Jong - Sanritsu Denki (1983)
You mean, Kiwako?
> Mahjong Night - Nichibutsu (1983) [Royal Denshi license]
If this isn't royalngt in MAME, then it is undumped and we need to add it to the Undumped wiki... http://www.progettoemma.net/gioco.php?game=royalngt
Thanks for the update!

Yeah, logo on the front is Kiwako in English, and bottom of the reverse side says "Kabushiki Kaisha Kiwako" in Japanese.

The screenshot on the flyer definitely isn't royalngt. It doesn't look like a clone of Night Bunny or Night Gal. So I'd say this is an undumped game.

I made some corrections. I posted the update this morning, pre-caffeinated.

I kind of stop looking for the cabinet pictures. The reason is that most machines have the screen replace. The flyers does help a lot on finding the games screen. Flat, curve and others. For example. 1942 game screen doesn't have curves on the flyer.

Another round of good updates as usual.
btw: With seeing the newly added flyer..
>Telejong - Data East (1980) [This is the prequel to DS Telejong by Data East (1981)]
Is DS Telejan, by (DECO Cassette, Japan), the correct title name? Or does that entry need to be renamed to DS Telejong?

My source tells me it is spelled DS Telejong, not DS Telejan.

In Japanese, mahjong is called 麻雀, which is read マージャン, i.e. mājan. So in Japanese, all the games where they abbreviate it use ジャン (jan), so you have テレジャン (Telejan) ジャンジャン (Janjan), Eジャン (E-jan), etc. However, since we call the game "mahjong" or "mahjongg" in English, these names sometimes get translated as Telejong, Jongjong, E-jong, etc. However, Japanese doesn't actually have an explicit nasalised "ng" sound in its phonetic alphabets.

Hmmm. Point taken. My source (who is Japanese) also concedes. So Telejan and DS Telejan are more accurate? I want to make sure my data is accurate and also aligns with the MAME effort.
Thanks.

It's a matter of taste and whether your intention is to transliterate or translate the titles. MAME uses Hepburn wāpuro rōmaji transliterations of titles unless the game displays a different romanisation.

I will follow suit but also include a tag for the translated name. So in this case the title is Telejan but I will also tag the flyer entry with Telejong.
