MiniPAC : Board not detected for firmware upgrade
#337602 - 03/10/15 08:55 PM

Hi,

I'd like to upgrade my MiniPac firmware but strangely I cannot.
My board is not seen neither by “WinIPAC (V2)” nor by “U_HID Config Utility” nor by “Ultimarc Firmware Updater” as it should like stated here : http://www.ultimarc.com/fwupgrade.html

Does anyone know why a board may not be detected ?
I installed drivers (requested on first plug) then I rebooted.

I can only see another keyboard coming inside Windows Device Manager. "Hardware ID" show my version is REV_0030.

Thanks
Tom

Andy doesn't even look round here no more. Uninstall the driver(s). Try to not let Windows re-install them, and then see.

Thanks for your reply.

I uninstalled driver of the MiniPac (which appears as keyboard) into Device Manager. Unfortunately each time I replug MiniPac the keyboard comes back as if I didn't do anything !

I also tried to plug it on another Windows machine and it immediately install the driver.

I don't find any solution.

Not sure if this will work but you can try this.

Uninstall the driver & unplug it. Then do this:

http://www.microcentertech.com/tech_center/DB/read_article.php?faqid=./HowTos/HOW5006661B.htm

Plug it back it & see if you can install the driver you want.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Pessimist: Oh, this can't get any worse!
Optimist: Yes, it can!
