Radiant Silvergun lock up?

The game will freeze at this point in the beginning of Stage 2C.
Is this a known bug? Why is the game listed as green (OK) when there's an unavoidable lock up?

What version of Mame? What's your hardware?

This game (rsgun) is not listed as green or OK. The driver is marked imperfect and MAME tells you that there is known problems with this game video/sound Emulation is not 100%
