I-pac2 not working

I have an I-pac2 (ps2) on XP computer and stopped working. The cabinet was dead due to a dead motherboard battery, replaced it and boots up fine but now it does not recognize the I-pac2 anymore. The LED is on but nothing functions. Any help please!

PS/2 or USB?

If the former, does the pass-thru work? Does any keyboard work with the port?
If the latter, disconnect it, re-plug it in....let Windows re-find it. If not that, try different ports on the mobo, as well as test them with another device.
