Intriguing, I have yet to check the SVN in order to know what he's talking about. There are probably arcade systems like that but I'm crossing fingers it's something like emulation of XBOX first generation kernels (eventually).

Changes applied to the frontend. I wonder if device sets will support CHD files too. I'll add support on the frontend just in case...

in principle one of the devices might be of hard disk type and come with some pre-formatted content in the form of a CHD.
I'm not sure how this make a difference from a frontend point of view, though, since devices are not runnable in MAME and thus they might well be masked out from the game list...

It's about detecting the files. Currently, EL only validate CHD files in game sets. I never thought bios/device sets would use CHD files so I didn't see the need to detect them when building the games list.

The next EL build will detect CHD files on all sets (bios, devices, games).
