I can only assume someone else bought them for me.

Just found THREE copies of the June 1990 issue of Rolling Stone. I had never read Rolling Stone much. I never liked Shine-Head, or whatever her name was. I wasn't THAT much of a Howard Stern fan. So why, me from 24 years ago? WHY!?
Two of them have a "Howard Stern fans BUY THIS ISSUE" sticker on the front, and all three have the same Sine-Aid cover photo.
And Firefox doesn't want to suggest a correct spelling of her name, so I'll just go with those.

Somehow, I got a subscription to VIBE.
But that was probably around or over a year ago now that I was able to send an email to get them to stop sending me that stuff.
If some idiot / a-hole wants to throw their money away on some kind of prank like that... whatever.

Yeah, that's the one. The one that got famous by shaving her head, going on SNL, and tearing up a picture of whoever was Pope at the time. Couldn't be bothered looking at the cover again.

TBH I can't even remember any of her songs. I can remember her shaved head, though.

Oh come on, she had one hit, which was *everywhere* in 1990, "Nothing Compares 2 U". Not a terrible tune, probably because Prince wrote it, and notable in its pioneering use of obnoxious abbreviations, a good 10 years prior to texting entering the mainstream.

I recall it as being quite annoying: NoTHING compares...2U

Well, the performance is a little overblown, but the tune itself really isn't that bad.
