Both cases sound like an issue with your computer? I can connect to SS fine. If you're looking to upload though, Mega is much better. No idea what pixels you are seeing, maybe you are running a custom theme or have malware or some shit. There should not be any of that.

I think he's referring to the snowflakes that are raining down when he calls them pixels?

Speaking of Italie, where's he been up to?
Was going to ask later but since his name came up.. OK, I hope. Not like him to be quiet this long.

Quick solution: Go to your 'My Home', Edit Display Preferences, then choose the Theme/Style-Sheet... If you pick 'Always use default' then that should take care of the snow-flakes.
ETA: Not to rain on Stiletto's Christmas Parade, but the '12 Days of Christmas' dictate that the day to take down decorations is January 6th.
But, that's completely up to him.

I tend to be the last person in my neighborhood to put up my Christmas lights and the last to take them down, so... (Yes, I'm one of THOSE people.)
But okay, I was waiting for the complaints to start, now they have. Robbbert's in Oz where it's blistering hot, so I'm sure this isn't up his alley right about now.

Looks like an SSL or certificate negotiation failure. Perhaps they disabled less secure modes of operation and your browser doesn't support newer, more secure options. A lot of sites are tightening up their SSL configurations after the Snowden revelations and publication of various weaknesses. Are you using an ancient OS and/or browser? Many sites now require ciphers that aren't available on WinXP and earlier with the Microsoft SSL libraries.

It's not the browser, it's the theme. I had the same complaint last year because it was slowing stuff down when I browsed on my Phone.
Perhaps it's just the Old Sk00l theme that's affected?

Try "Smitdogg's Custom Blue" theme.

I guess. I'm not familiar with the snowflake code so italie or twisty will probably have to remove it later.

It's simple two lines of CSS injected into the chosen target stylesheets. They're all cleared now.

Key and cipher negotiation happens before any content is served. They can't serve a page if the server and browser can't agree on a mutually acceptable arrangement. Also, Firefox 3.6 and Win2k are both ancient and both expose many well-understood security vulnerabilities. You're asking for trouble using a setup like that to browse.

Nah, it was cached. I used my "reload without cache" button, and it was gone. Then I spent two and a half hours unlocking The Lost.
