multiple ROM paths?
#335726 - 01/04/15 12:18 AM

I decided today to update my MAME cabinet for the first time in a very long time.

This time, I think I'm going to keep the ROM zips in one folder and the CHDs in another folder. I think this will make updates easier when using bittorrent.

Is anyone else using this organization method and if so, are there any drawbacks or pitfalls I should be aware of?

That's how I have my ROMs and CHDs stored as well. No drawbacks that I know of.

I do the same thing and works fine. I have my MAME roms in one folder CHD's in another folder and for MAME builds like MAMEUIFX that use extra games I also put those in their own folder.
