My intel chipset won't display current MAME in D3D.....
#332872 - 10/06/14 11:59 PM

It's a 82945G express, system is Win7 32. I apparently have the latest driver. I only use this rig for minor testing purposes, so it's not crucial, but I am curious why this might be the case? Apparently it won't even do OpenGL 2.0, so maybe that's related?

That hardly even counts as a GPU. The 945 family suck system memory bandwidth when they do anything at all, too. Seriously, get a real GPU.

I was going to write an informative 1200-word response about your issue with your board, but since you don't like those I'm just going to suggest that you ask the guys at BYOAC instead.

Compared to that ancient piece of crap Intel setup, even the cheapest discreet video card that will fit into the machine would be far better.

Heh, integrated video is more discreet than any discrete video card

You're turning me on.

When it was still running XP, I had a radeon X800 in it, and I got some general surfing benefit out of it. But the thing made the room so warm, and with the installation of Win7 (just 32)), I decided to take it out, and found there was little or no difference in performance....

Besides, the X800 won't do 9.0c, so no HLSL.
