Honestly from the footage there it seemed like just regular OutRun gameplay, I didn't see any kind of augmented reality type elements. For instance, he was coming up on an intersection and no such thing appeared in the game graphics.
So I'd kind of lean "fake" too, or at least faked for this video.

wow,now THAT'S a ride.but Belmont is right,you don't notice anything different in the "game" itself,or if it does,is not shown on camera,so yeah probably "fake",as in faking the augmented reality thing.what is not definitely fake though is an arcade cabinet ...on wheels

First off: it's an old video!
Second: no, it looks real. What no one noticed is that there were no cars on the screen. It only mapped the road in front of the vehicle. Nothing parallel. Also, the 'track' was only the sand dunes, ever-repeated. No buildings on the side, the track was always three lanes, etc. A seriously hacked version, so to speak.
And, it was apparently their Youtube channel - and was posted in January, so no April Fool's.
