Cappuccino Lay's

Meh. Might be okay as a dessert snack since it's more sweet than anything. But, IMO, the cappuccino (brown sugar and coffee) flavor doesn't mix well with the potato flavor.

I seen them in the store and thought they were too weird NOT to try. If you'd (actually) like to try them then you might wait a week or two when they'll be crammed into carts in front of the check-out lanes at .50˘ each.

Yeah, sounds gross. Reminds me of this bacon ice cream I had last summer. Eww.

I mean, not, like, gross disgusting. There's very little that can ruffle me like that. But just gross like, 'that don't taste good/good together'.

I'll try most foods once (unless it smells bad). After all the stories I've heard of the weird crap pregnant women eat, I decided to try vanilla ice cream with pickles.

It actually isn't half bad!

Although I don't think I'd go for pickle flavored ice cream...

Granted, they're both Frito-Lay, but they aren't the same.

Likewise. I also tend to find that presentation and environment are two major factors that affect whether or not I get a good impression of a food. It kind of makes sense, because if it looks shitty, you'll expect it to taste shitty.

The other day I went to this one restaurant that specializes in authentic Swedish food, which is oddly rare here in Stockholm, given that it's literally in Sweden. I'd never had herring or beets before, but they had an appetizer that was basically fried pickled herring on brown bread, with dill mayonnaise, assorted fresh greens, and chopped pickled beets on top. I've never been much of a fish person before, but after trying it? God damn, I've been missing out.

Oddly enough, I used to hate salmon, but since moving to Sweden I've developed quite a taste for it. I think part of it is that I've always lived in landlocked areas before, whereas the fish that you get here travels a relatively short distance compared to in the states, so it's considerably fresher.

salmon honestly depends on where they got it from (how it was raised/fed if from a farm), how old it actually is, and how it's prepared. I've had no better sushi than in Japan, but salmon in the US is actually better to me, for the most part. The dried, salty salmon they use for rice balls is awesome, but usually the sushi isn't that great.

As far as pickled herring... I used to love it bottled. In the US, it comes in 2 different styles, Whine sauce and cream sauce. actually this might be the exact kind I used to get: http://www.vitafoodproducts.com/c-68-herring.aspx
