Very cool... however...
1. If you follow these instructions...
> Instructions: extract this archive into the artwork folder in your MAME directory.
... and you are using original artwork, you're going to overwrite some of the original files.
2. Could you go through and delete the notes at the end of all the LAY files that don't apply. For example, on Ghouls 'n' Ghosts:

- Lay file by Mr. Do

Thanks a lot for the effort, but the link is down unfortunately. Could you please reupload or is there by chance a place where I could get these individually? I know of 'http://mrdo.mameworld.info/mame_otherart.php', but it doesn't have the games from the OP.

I like like the artwork but wish it didn't simulate with CRT monitor overscan. Just about ever game I tried are part of the game field on the corners covered slightly.
