I'm thinking about getting one to play with. From what little I've read so far, it seems it runs some form of Linux, It can run Android, and people have figured out how to dump, burn, and unbrick 3DS systems with it...
What makes it hard is trying to decide which wifi dongle to get for it (I'd like to be able to use monitor mode and packet injection for pentesting, but most usb dongles I've looked at so far are very slow. I may want to play with some media server stuff on it as well). Also, there's the fact that it seems less powerful than a phone.

There's a lot of fun to be had with them if you pick appropriate tasks. 512MB of RAM means you won't want to run any kind of modern desktop environment, and the CPU benchmarks about the same as a Pentium II 300. So it's definitely doable for pentesting, although a rooted Android phone would be both more powerful and less conspicuous

I have a rooted SGS II. I can do pentesting with it? wasn't aware I could get the wireless in monitoring mode or use packet injection... I'll have to research that after work.
Thanks for the tip!
