Your kidnapper tells you you can have either of two things for the rest of your life:
A)A PC with MAME/MESS installed, configured and ready to go, along with ALL the roms and CHDs to go with it. The PC can't play ANYTHING else! Only MAME/MESS/UME. That's it.
B)Any of the current gen home consoles. Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox 1, PS4 or WiiU. You can pick any of those 5 but only one. None of the consoles are allowed to be hacked or modded, so no homebrew or emulation at all. Only current gen commercial games. Furthermore, YOU CANNOT play online! No multiplayer whatsoever. If you choose a PS4 or Xbox 1, you will be given any new games you want that comes out over the next 2 years for free.
Which one would you choose?

A definitely offers the most game time, and for me the most memorable games. Some of your limitations don't entirely make sense though. I would guess that the PS3 and X360 options include the entire catalog of games, but if you're offering them alongside X1 and PS4, then why not Wii as well? Or does choosing the Wii U include the Wii back catalog as the Wii U can directly play Wii games with no modification? You also allow for X1 and PS4 to receive new games for two years, but not Wii U. Is there a reason why? Does the "only current-gen commercial games" limitation only exist to keep out homebrew, or does that mean the Wii (U)'s virtual console as well? Without either virtual console or Wii games, the Wii U choice would seem to be a no-brainer- the few games would get old quickly, even with a new Zelda game on the horizon (I don't mean Hyrule Warriors, and assuming you meant the 2 years new games to include the Wii U).
If the Wii U included the back catalog of Wii games, as well as all Wii U games, then that might make me stop and think for a minute as there were some commercial retro game collections released in addition to the mass of normal titles, but then I would kick myself for even considering it and choose A of course. So that was a lot of writing just to go with A.

Console. PS3 I guess (since that's what I've already got). It has some classic games on that.... But those were downloaded. You didn't specify if the console would already come with preloaded games... So, it'd be like I brought my own PS3 with me. Although, it would be rather torturous to not have an arcade styled controller (even though I was a bit surprised at the responsiveness of the PS3 controller when playing Marvel vs Capcom, Origins.
I've also got Black Tiger. I may DL Ghosts n' Goblins.... and another one I can't think of atm.
Sorry. That first part was in regards to the island. The 2nd part was me bragging -if one could call it bragging.
Edit: Oops. You said they have to be current gen games. Well, the retro games have some features that -when they originally came out- didn't have. But if it's strictly the present Gen -- then MGR, Revengeance will probably keep me busy. I'm waiting for the Alien game coming out in Sept. Hope it's a good one.
