Would this CPU be any good for MAME?

Would this CPU be any good for MAME?
http://ark.intel.com/products/80807

I was reading about it on various sites and one of the big bullet points seems to be that it has an out-of-the-box clock speed of 4GHz (and some sites are saying overclocking could push that further). Does that mean its a good fit for MAME? (not that I have the money to buy one though, just curious if this is the best x86 CPU for MAME as of now or if there is a better option out there)

The best CPU for MAME is the fastest Intel CPU you can afford. If there is a faster one available, then that is the best one.

It still isn't fast enough to make a difference, at 4.4GHz there are still plenty of games/systems that aren't playable.

My Ivy Bridge i5 CPU does 4.22 GHz on air, it can go faster but why stress it, it's fast enough. The gap up until the heaviest platforms that MAME emulates become playable is too large.

If [H]ardOCP's tests pan out, that'll be the replacement for my 4.7 GHz i7-2600K. Intel is claiming 5 GHz+ on air and extended operation at 4+ GHz without a fan (!!) We'll see how reality goes.

ETA: Reality is not being kind to this thing.

Just out of interest, which systems are still unplayable with a 4.2Ghz i5 that would be playable with enough horsepower?

PSX and SH3 based games run 100% with my 3.4Ghz i3.

Naomi/Atomiswave and SEGA Model 3 for example. Probably a few more.
