Daffy Duck pointed you in the right direction, already. mamedev.org - it doesn't get more official than that. And, the 'b' in the download stands for 'binary' not 'beta', I believe. 's' for source code downloads.

You really should try to use these binaries in DOS to see what happens. For someone who clearly don't have a clue about the difference between command line and DOS, you're very confident in doing derogatory comments.

There hasn't been dos versions in years. I think you mean you want one with a built in frontend, like MAMEUI

http://www.mameui.info/

Although they are pushing their front end to use with command line versions of MAME these days.

A command-line Windows application is not a DOS application, retard.

There are no versions of MAME with a native Windows point-and-click interface, if that's what you are looking for (e.g. Snes9x style). Use MAMEUI or QMC2 if you can't live without the mouse.

What exactly do you mean by "broken"? They are not broken. They work fine. There was a slight problem in MAMEUI with saving some settings IIRC, but that was fixed. Try MAMEUIFX, it's my preferred option.

Watch how you talk, stating that they are "garbage" is highly offensive to the authors who have committed so much time and effort to their derivatives. Just because you may not like them, doesn't make them garbage.

No those are not garbage. I been using MAME in years.

Also those aren't in dos anymore. They drop dos version long time ago.

Read over here at and get to know more about MAME a little better. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAME

You might want to replace your keyboard, man. Your constant stream of drool seems to have shorted out the shift and punctuation keys.
