My secondary display turns off when exiting a game in Mame. It is connected to VGA. Anyone else having this issue, and is there a solution to fix this?

Sorry, that was entirely unhelpful but I couldn't resist. ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)
Trying to be helpful though - I have a similar setup but have never encountered that kind of thing. Questions:
* What version of MAME are you using? * Is it stock MAME or something else? * Do you get the same issue with a fresh install?

Hahaha! ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif)
And yes...the mainscreen turns on! ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)
- It's MameUI64 0.153. - It's a "stock" version. - I haven't tried a new, fresh install.
This is not my regular setup, just a testrig. It is like Mame sends a turn off signal to the monitor. If i try other stuff like Visual Pinball with a back glass on thesecond monitor, it works just fine....and no turn offs.
I'll it on my cab later tonight to se if it behaves the same.

It worked just fine in my cab. The test rig second monitor is connected via VGA, and DVI on my cab.....tat may be the reason.

Hmm.. I would test with a fresh install just to rule that out (since you mentioned you hadn't done that) though I don't believe that's the issue based on your above observation. It's more likely something to do with your display driver not being able to handle the resolution or refresh rate changes between whatever MAME game you are running and native Windows (though only for your VGA device as you pointed out). Try upgrading your display driver, or use a different video card?

It's a laptop, so kind of tricky to try another gfx card. I think my issue have to do with the "monitor auto detect" funktion, and my computer seems to think that i turn of the computer when i exit Mame. This is no biggie though, since it works just fine on my cab.
Thanx for your help though!
